Hillsborough
2nd March 2013
This is the first picture I haven't taken on my DSLR for this project. Had a busy weekend and never got near my camera. I snapped this at the game between Wednesday and Forest. Sadly wasn't the outcome I wanted. I've processed the hell out of this a bit but I figure I'm allowed the odd indulgence right?

Pine Cone

I'll be honest, taking today's picture slipped past me a little so I hurriedly snapped this just before bed. I quite like the patterns you find in nature if you look closely enough

Enjoy Your Film
27th February 2013
Went to see Die Hard 5 tonight. It's exactly what you'd expect from the fifth Die Hard film. If your expectations are about right, you'll enjoy it. The sticker on my Malteasers was very polite (I moved it to my jacket though).

Giraffe Print
25th February 2013
For my daughter's actual birthday, we went to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park in Doncaster. It's actually a great day out and since I last went, they've added a few species of animal, including some wonderful giraffes. This is a close up of the print from one of them.

Robin
24th February 2013
Took my daughter to a tropical butterfly house near Sheffield today. I think I've posted a picture from there before, but instead of the tropical and exotic, I decided on this robin for today's snap. He let me get right up to him for this.

Bad Seeds
23rd February 2013
I'm a big Nick Cave fan and whilst I wait for the prolonged delivery of the new album (it's becoming a farce), I ordered myself the B-Sides & Rarities album which is quite frankly, brilliant!

Tickets
20th February 2013
Having done some press shots for a friend of mine and his new single, I got hold of some tickets to the single launch in Wakefield at the end of March. Can't wait!

Sleepy
I'd taken my daughter out for the day and by the time we got home, she'd succumbed to sleep in the car. Fairly standard sleep face I think...

Button
18th February 2013
This is a spare button from some jumper or other I own. Not particularly exciting but it's pretty rare I see a button with some motto on it. It appealed to me a bit for some reason. So here you go - "Cut from a different cloth"

IKEA
16th February 2013
I spent Saturday at IKEA. There's little else to say to be honest - I'm sure a lot of you have had that particular "pleasure" before. The only thing that struck me was how recognisable a piece of IKEA furniture is just from the product label...

Chocolates
14th February 2013
It is, of course, Valentine's Day today so little inspiration needed for today's picture. I decided to snap a picture of the chocolates I bought my wife.
There's also a few other Valentine's day shots (including cake, flowers and Lego) which you can see in this Flickr set if you're interested.

13th February 2013
I recently saw that this t-shirt was being auctioned on ebay and I was lucky enough to win it. Slow Club are a band from Sheffield that I love and Paradise is the name of their second album released in 2011. If you've not listened before, I suggest you give them a whirl!

APS
11th February 2013
I spent yesterday going through some old photos I'd taken about 10-15 years ago back when I was still on a film camera. I had one of the "revolutionary" APS cameras at the time and getting a huge box with this logo on the front was always an exciting time

Rainbow Cupcakes
10th February 2013
Whilst the apocalyptic snow that was forecast never actually materialised, we'd decided it wasn't worth venturing out today. My daughter and I tried our hand at some ambitious rainbow cupcakes. They weren't bad for a first attempt, but I think we've learned we don't need to be so stingy with the food colouring next time

York Minster
9th February 2013
I was back in York today accompanying my daughter to a birthday party. It's the first time I've been back in about 18 months (having lived there for over 10 years previously). I still can't help but be amazed by the Minster every time I go into town. I loved the sun shining on the Rose Window this afternoon.

Eyes
31st January 2013
Well I managed the first month which is a little surprising if I'm honest. Only 334 more days to go. I got a Darth Vader Mr Potato Head for Christmas and I decided on a close up of the eyes for today's shot. Not quite as menacing as the original Darth but still pretty cool.

Poker Face
30th January 2013
Apologies I've been relying on Lego a lot these last few days - it's been a busy week and I'm not getting much chance to plan these more thoroughly. Anyway, today I found a tiny poker table keyring I got given as a present some years ago, and thought the Stormtroopers could use a game to relax

DAFNE
28th January 2013
I'm using my 365 Project for a number of things really. Mostly it's to improve and practice my photography, but it's also to document the year as best I can. Today I went on the first day of a week long DAFNE (Dose Adjustment For Normal Eating) course relating to my insulin pump. This is the front of the course material.

27th January 2013

Down the road from yesterday's afternoon tea destination is a village called Wentworth. The inspiration for today's photo came from the gift card that the afternoon tea voucher came in. I popped back up today with the right lens on my camera to take this picture.

A final return to the "stuff in the kitchen" series. I did have something better planned but I'm waiting on a delivery of a small, but crucial piece of equipment so I'll postpone that until a later date. I stand by my previous statement that the everyday things are so much more interesting viewed close up.
